Ethan is scheduled for surgery this coming Thursday. He's been fighting a cold since last Tuesday despite my best efforts to keep him away from other people. He had a cough and a runny nose. Six days later, he is much better. The cough has gone away, but his nose is still running. He has 3 days to get rid of that. Children's will call Wednesday to let us know what time we need to check in, but they will also check and make sure he is not sick and can proceed with surgery. So far it is looking good though.
Ethan had his 9 month check up last Tuesday. His primary doctor was back from his sabbatical and thinks Ethan looks very good. He seems to be growing at a good pace, though I was surprised at what he weighed. The doctor had to remind me that between 6-9 months babies growth tends to slow down.
The insurance issue has hopefully been resolved. January and February have been taken care of. I had to call Apria Healthcare and ask them to resubmit March and April. We found out that Apria had been billing our insurance company with the wrong codes, so Aetna had Ethan's diagnosis wrong in their system. Hopefully this problem will be completely taken care of by the end of June. Luckily, I finally have a contact at Apria that I can contact with any questions and I no longer have to call generic phone numbers and talk to different people each time I call who don't appear to know how to help me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
