Playing encourages Ethan to speak, which he has been doing a lot of at his sessions so far. He likes to play with new and unfamiliar toys.
Since Ethan's speech therapy is from 11:00am to 11:45am, Jonathan started attending City Kids which is an extended part of his preschool day. We were a little nervous about signing him up considering that he really hated going downstairs for childcare after preschool on days when I had MOPS, but he really seemed to like it. When I took him down to the room last week, he went right in and started to play. The City Kids room is smaller, has the same teachers who are certified, has carpeting, painted walls, and only has 15 kids. I had to drag him out of the room. So today, he had his first real City Kids day and he did a great job! He was very brave and didn't cry. He got to eat lunch there too, so he got a Cars lunch box and a thermos, which he really likes too.
