Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

These are some picture of Jonathan's class field trip to the pumpkin patch this season. They went to a pumpkin farm out in Fall City, Fall City Farms. We'd never been there before. The kids got to look around in a real barn and learn about what goes on at the farm, squeeze real apples in a machine to make apple cider, ride a tractor out to the pumpkin patch, pick a pumpkin, and see a pumpkin sling shot.
Waiting to make apple cider.

Playing with friends.
Yummy apple cider. This was not the cider that they made, but fresh out of a jug.
I like this one mommy!
Tractor hay ride to the pumpkin patch.
The apple squeezing machine. The apple drops into the box, the guy turns the handle and cider comes out at the bottom.
Searching for the perfect pumpkin.
Ethan's perfect pumpkin. Look at that stem!
Jonathan's perfect pumpkin.
I want this one too!
Taking a break.
Pumpkin house. The kids could actually go inside.
The tractor ride back.

The boys and their small pumpkins. They have to get a small one every year too.
Hay maze time.

Bob was unable to get off of work this year to go to the pumpkin patch, so this was my first year taking the boys by myself. The boys were very well behaved and enjoyed searching for pumpkins. The boys each got a regular pumpkin and a smaller pumpkin. Luckily for us the weather turned out beautiful and sunny.
