Apple's tribute on their website.
I was watching the KOMO news at 4pm when they had breaking news announcing that Steve Jobs had passed away. I immediately gasped and had a heavy heart. Just a few short weeks ago he stepped down at Apple. I knew he was really sick and this proved it to me, but I still was in shock when I heard he had died. He was such a visionary. An innovator. A once in a lifetime kind of guy. I am shocked by how sad I feel. But I know what the world has lost. And by the reaction I am seeing on the news, I am not the only one feeling this sense of loss. I know now that he knew what was coming when he stepped down. That makes me so sad.Steve. You were such a great man who had a passion for bringing the world your ideas. You've made life more interesting. You've touched the lives of not only adults, but children everywhere who play on their parent's iPhone or who are learning on your iPad in their classroom. There will be no one else like you in my lifetime. Thank you.
